New Jersey's at-Home-Dads organization, Jersey Dads, is a group of fathers who choose to stay at home to care for their families. The goal of Jersey Dads is to provide a support network for fathers and reduce the isolation felt by many fathers who stay at home. We also strive to provide more friends and activities for our kids.

Jersey Dads Update:

Standing play dates are Mondays & Thursdays, 11am to ~2pm, at
Watchung Loop Park - next to Trailside Nature Center in Union County.
Tuesday & Friday are the automatic rain dates.

New Jersey's stay-at-home-dads group is reborn. Jerry, Rick, and Jeff have taken on the goal to re-start and grow the group, now known as Jersey Dads.

We are always looking for a new dads to join in the fun for dads and kids. We have no dues. We meet weekly, usually, and we have FUN! We come from all over Northern New Jersey and plan field trips to wherever we want to go. Most of us have no aversion to driving. So don't think you live too far away to join. While stay-at-home-dads and their kids are the main focus of the group, we are not strictly limited to such. If you are full-time, part-time, or any-time stay at home dad, or even a mom, you are welcome to hang out with us. So what is your excuse? Come on and join in! Email NJDads for more info.

Current event plans call for the Crayola 100th Anniversary parade at the Crayola Crayon factory in Eastern, PA.

In 1999 or was it 2000, New Jersey Dads were on CNN. CNN did a segment on Stay at home Dads and chased one of our previous members, Rich, around for a day. They even came to the "Dads only" dinner and interviewed the group previous members. Hey, this Dads stuff IS fun! We have had at least three media inquiries in the first few months of our re-start in 2003. More exposure means more dads and more kids. We are also listed with the New Jersey Self-Help Group Clearinghouse, www.selfhelpgroups.org
